Hi friend!
I want to see a world in which everyone is empowered with simple and effective self-care strategies to improve their mental health.
I believe that mental health is priceless… and I believe that our world desperately needs this now.
This is why I make the best of what I know available ⭐️ for free ⭐️ :
Although I give all of my knowledge away for free, people still hire my 🔑 One-On-One Coaching Services 🔑 for seven good reasons:
1. Trust
As someone who suffered psychosis as a teenager, clients work with me because they trust that I know what suffering feels like:
waking up wondering whether you’ll be able to survive another day or not,
being assailed by dark thoughts that drown you in loneliness, while being too ashamed to share them with anyone,
the self-hatred, the unresolved traumas, and the pervasive sense of meaninglessness,
the problematic behaviors,
the worried looks on loved ones’ faces,
resenting school for not having taught you how to take care of your mental and physical health,
feeling dissatisfied by a healthcare system that is overly focused on pills and talk therapy,
intuitively knowing that you have the power to take care of yourself but being unsure about where to start.
Yup. I’ve been there.
And as someone who is now healthy, happy, and symptom-free, clients trust that healing is possible, and that I can be a catalyst on their transformation journey.
My 16 years as a Buddhist monk, under the renowned Zen master, scholar, and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Thich Nhat Hanh, have helped me develop empathy and listening skills, solid expertise in meditation and mindfulness, and lots of teaching experience.
“I have practiced movement and meditation for many years, but incorporating some of Promise’s DWEP practices into my daily routine has added more depth and balance to my mental, physical and spiritual well-being. I really appreciate his holistic and experience-based approach that helps introduce simple yet deeply impactful habits into the day. Promise has a vast depth of knowledge and understanding yet he has the gift of explaining and teaching in a way that is accessible and available to everyone no matter what stage of life you are in. I highly recommend Promise as a teacher and practitioner.” — Sinéad Collins, mindfulness and yoga teacher.
The tools I share have solid roots not only in Buddhism but also in Lifestyle Medicine, Positive Psychology, and other contemporary fields of science.
“Promise is an astonishing former Buddhist Monk. All of the practices in his Daily Wellness Empowerment Program (DWEP) are beneficial and genuinely supported by medical research. The DWEP is superbly organized, easy to follow, and all the components fit together organically and holistically. It will serve the needs of anyone seeking health, a beneficial lifestyle, and consistent practices.” — Dr. Ron Parks, psychiatrist.
I blend ancient wisdom, modern science, and personal experiments to empower you with simple and effective self-care practices that will support your mental and physical wellness — for life.
2. Commitment And Accountability
When clients offer themselves a coaching package, they send a message to the universe that they’re committed to taking their wellness habits to the next level 🚀
Meeting with me regularly — at least weekly, in the beginning — waters their positive seeds and keeps them on track with their goals.
At the beginning of each session, clients check-in on their DWEP practice, with a focus on positive reinforcement:
what DWEP practices they managed to do this week,
how they managed to do them, and
how it impacted their wellbeing.
For instance,
“Five days this week, I managed to do 10 minutes of sitting meditation in the mornings.”
“What helped me do so was to keep my phone in another room (so I wouldn’t feel compelled to check), to prepare my meditation cushion the evening before, and to remind myself of the benefits of meditation when I woke up.”
“I still had thoughts, but my mind was much calmer. I managed to smile and open up to the present moment. During the day, I was a bit less reactive and a bit more peaceful and present. My spouse even complimented me.”
Clients receive the type of accountability that makes them feel
accepted,
empowered, and
nudged in the right direction.
3. Personalized Support And Accelerated Learning
When clients buy a coaching package, they buy a lot of time, because personalized learning makes for efficient learning.
In our first session, clients go through an onboarding that establishes rapport and helps us gain clarity on:
why it is important for them to take care of themselves,
which DWEP practices hold the highest transformation potential for them,
what inner and outer resources they can tap into to implement the DWEP in their lives,
what their confidence levels are, and
what their preferred learning style is.
I adapt my coaching for each client and aim to pull on the most transformative levers in a way that makes for the most pleasant coaching experience possible.
After each session, clients receive a recap with the main takeaways and links to resources should they wish to deepen their learning on their own.
My personalized coaching helps clients feel safe, seen and supported as they implement the DWEP’s wonderful self-care practices in their life.
4. Fun, Human Approach
Taking care of our mental health is a serious topic, but being always grumpy about it would be counterproductive.
Clients appreciate the unexpected touches of fun we have in our sessions. Not because 100% of my jokes are funny (only 99.99% are), but because they sense that I have inner space for the present moment and an appreciation for the small, silly things that make us who we are.
Clients are invited to bring their full self to our DWEP coaching sessions, quirks and all, and as long as there is mutual respect, a desire to learn, and a focus on transformation, fun is definitely welcome on our coaching journey.
Another thing that clients appreciate is that I don’t present myself as an annoying know-it-all. I don’t pretend to do all of the ten DWEP practices myself perfectly every day, or to have perfect health and be happy-happy all the time.
If I am asked a question that I don’t have the answer for, I tell clients that I don’t know, and I take time to research before getting back to them.
I am not perfect, but I am:
a human being with an amazing transformation — from psychosis to health, happiness, and regular experiences of meditative bliss,
someone with deep knowledge in the areas of meditation and wellness,
a man on a mission to empower others,
a big brother for those who wish to establish simple and science-based self-care practices in their daily life, thus gaining lasting mental strength.
If you are looking for:
a “savior”,
someone who can do the work for you,
a quick easy fix,
a therapist, or
advise on medication,
I am not the right person for you!
My coaching focuses on self-care empowerment, delivered in a fun and human way.
5. Real, Sustained Benefits
The DWEP teaches you the lifestyle guidelines that the longest-living and happiest populations abide by, and you can expect real long-term benefits on your mental and physical health.
The DWEP is not just about fixing problems — it’s about supporting your body, mind and soul with the healthy habits they need to flourish and thrive.
There is scientific evidence that the DWEP practices can help not only with:
stress and anxiety,
depression and mood disorders,
sleep disorders,
addiction,
attention and focus issues,
but also:
heart disease,
several types of cancer,
neurodegenerative diseases,
overweight and type-2 diabetes,
physical pain.
“Promise and his Daily Wellness Empowerment Program were a wonderful encounter and a beautiful discovery. With calm, serenity and active listening, Promise coached me through his DWEP which I now have been practicing for five months. I found the DWEP tools to be simple and powerful. For instance, morning meditation allows me to center myself, to start the day calm and with an open mind. Hindu push-ups and Hindu squats have helped me improve my body’s mobility and balance. Arms swinging helps me to center myself and relax. Thank you.” — Régis Rouet, sales manager.
6. Life-Long Confidence
On top of the benefits I just mentioned comes a huge “meta benefit”, which is self-confidence.
When I was suffering with psychosis as a teenager, the worst part was not understanding where my suffering came from and not having the confidence that I could do anything about it. One DWEP practitioner named Michael told me it was the exact same thing for him.
Now I know where most of my suffering and happiness come from — and it has to do with the ten DWEP practices.
I haven’t used any psychiatric medication for twenty years, and I haven’t seen any kind of doctor or taken any kind of medicine for eleven years. I am healthy and happy, have purpose in my life, and can face challenges with clarity and resilience.
I am not promising that you will get the same results I did, but according to the best available scientific evidence and the experience of my clients, if you implement the DWEP into your life, it is reasonable for you to expect that you will:
feel better — think less anxiety, depression, pain, and sick days, as well as more resilience, peace, joy, and strength,
become more confident in your capacity for self-care, and
see your quality of life continue to improve well beyond our sessions.
Having a simple, holistic, and effective system to take care of your mental and physical health gives you life-long confidence — an invaluable gift.
7. Support Others
When you buy a coaching package, you are investing not only in your own mental health but in the mental health of others by making it financially viable for me to keep creating free content.
You win. I win. Hundreds of other people win.
