The Mental Health Revolution Ball Is Rolling
And part of it is to make our brains less hackable.
Hi friend, I hope you are well and arms swinging every evening 😅.
Shoutouts
Thank you for the kind, encouraging feedback some of you sent after the first newsletter. Thank you, Matthew, for offering to contribute financially to this MHR. I'm not going to take the money because I'm a monk, but I'm definitely getting the positive vibes, thanks bro. Thank you Ashraf and Cata for generously offering the domain name mentalhealthrevolution.org. This is so slick. I'll post content there soon. Thank you to those of you who have shared this newsletter. And welcome to the new subscribers.
Mental Health Revolution
The words “mental health revolution” came to me during a particularly meaningful experience in meditation, and it’s hard for me to express how much these words make my soul come alive. A few weeks ago, as I was walking with my twin sister (and bff) and rambling on for the nth time about my grandiose plans to heal the world, she chuckled and shrugged in disbelief.
I stopped, for dramatic purposes… and said… “Watch me nae-nae.” 😂
As I explained in my introductory video, I will be promoting an empowering, holistic, and positive approach to mental health. Empowering because we will focus on self-care practices. Holistic because mental health is multifactorial. And positive because we can do so much more than manage illness: we can cultivate well-being, purpose, virtue, love, and transcendence.
I invite you to consider how a more empowering, holistic, and positive approach to mental health could impact your life, the lives of your family and friends, and society as a whole.
Yup, we can dream. And yup, we can make it happen.
Less Hackable Than Yesterday
I’m starting a new series of videos called Less Hackable Than Yesterday, to help us learn about our cognitive biases and become more impervious to propaganda.
Those of you who know me know that for the past 2.5 years I have been very concerned about human rights, government policies, and the profound ways in which the pseudo-sanitary crisis has affected our world’s mental health.
When I became aware of the magnitude of the problem, I realized that there would be no pain-free solution for me: either
stay silent, become complicit in the totalitarian drift (history reminder if you think this is an exaggeration: in 1933, a day after his false flag operation against the German parliament, Hitler convinced the president to declare a national state of emergency to “fight communists”… the state of emergency lasted twelve years), and not be able to look at myself in the mirror, or…
speak out and get myself into a whole world of trouble.
I thought, “Let’s choose trouble, shall we?” 😅
Since then, I have been the fortunate recipient of quite a bit of shaming, social norm messages, and complimentary psychological diagnoses (but only complimentary in the sense “free of charge” 😆). In May last year, after I wrote a polite but political comment, Google shadowbanned me, not allowing me to comment on other channels (now I finally can), and recommending my videos 20x less (the channel hasn’t recuperated yet… although the likes/dislikes ratio is still >99%). Shadowbanning is real and demoralizing 😑. In July, Google removed one of my videos and gave my channel a warning strike as its generous invitation for me to fall in line and join the covid cult.
I honestly wished that all of my views were wrong. I honestly wished that covid came from a bat, that the WHO was concerned about our health, that its main donor Bill Gates was the savior of humanity, that Pfizer was a philanthropic organization with no criminal record, that the “vaccines” were “safe and effective”, that the mainstream media were independent truth-tellers, that being locked in their homes hadn’t driven anyone crazy, that children could learn online effectively and that growing up in a world of muzzled people was wonderfully supportive of them feeling emotionally safe and connected and growing into confident human beings.
I just so wished the coronavirus perfectly justified humanity shooting itself in the foot… because that’s what we’ve done… and the damage is real.
(I’m ranting, I know 😑. The “unsubscribe” link is at the bottom. It was nice having you.)
For those of you who choose to read on, I sincerely hope that we can
come out of denial,
shake off the trauma,
restore justice, and
build less hackable, more bullshit-proof, and more tyranny-proof brains.
Here is the first video, on our inner drive to conform:
(Yes, I’m choosing trouble. Thank you Captain Obvious. I’m doing so consciously because I believe that’s what the situation calls for. And no, thank you, I don’t need you to save my “reputation”.)
Heal the System
I have a little book called Heal The System: Suggestions for Frustrated Youth. I wrote it before the plandemic, and although it doesn’t address the more recent concerns that have been on my mind (see my wonderful rant above, in case you missed it), in this book you will learn a bit about my story, some valuable lessons I’ve learned, and some suggestions for how we can heal our society from within and make our world a better place.
You can download this book for free here.
That’s it for today. Thank you for reading, and thank you for not unsubscribing just yet 😅. Talk to you next time.
🙏💛
This newsletter is free and will remain free. It is 100% written by me. I only use AI to help me with the spelling, grammar, and word use. I welcome concrete and specific suggestions for improvement.
The #1 thing you can do to get started on this Mental Health Revolution is to print a Daily Wellness Empowerment Program (DWEP) Sheet and get going.
